Mumbai based nrg Gaming
Cafe is expanding its business stream even as its founders
are now foraying into gaming cafe consultancy with the
launch of Aeon gaming cafe in Charni Road. 1
Speaking to Gaming Xpress nrg co-founder Bhavya Parekh shared, "The launch of Aeon will be a big step in expanding our business in the consultancy field. We are not just consulting, we have done other chores like designing the place, buying the best gaming gear, installing the latest games and we will be managing the café for a year to ensure its success."
"Setting up a cafe calls for an approximate investment of INR 20 lakhs and the investment can be recouped in 14-15 months. A lot of people have the money but they don't know what do to and how to utilize it judiciously. Opening a cafe for the sake of it is of no use for the investor or the gamer. Gamers get bored if they keep playing redundant games. They want to play high end games and that is what we provide. We are looking for people who are just looking to invest; we will take care of the rest," he added.
Gamers can get their hands on the brand new machines in a week's time as the expected opening date is just around the corner.
nrg Gaming Cafe has also added the most awaited Batman: Arkham Asylum to its gaming library. It is one of the few gaming cafés in Mumbai who have the hardware to support this game. Other than Batman, high end games like Call of Duty 4 and Crysis and FIFA 09 are a favorite amongst gamers at nrg. "We always encourage gamers to try out high end games as our machines are well capable of handling the load" said Bhavya.
nrg in collaboration with Steel Series is also planning another high end gaming event at Pipeline gaming café in Santacruz. The event dates are not finalized but it's expected in mid October. Gamers from all over Mumbai are expected at the event.
