Game4u, retailer of video games, today announced its expansion plans for the NCR Region with the launch of 2 new stores in Gurgaon. Responding to the growing demand of gaming in Northern India, Game4u’s presence will now grow to 4 stores including existing stores in Ludhiana and Jalandhar.
Game4u plans to open 50 new stores across top 30 Indian cities in the forthcoming 3 years, thereby establishing itself as the leading retailer in India.
Along with the launch of its new stores, the company also unveiled its Rewards Program – “TEAM ELITE”. This program will offer members a plethora of privileges and will reward every purchase from Game4u stores as well as through its e-store. The program will go live on 10th May, 2012.
The “Team Elite” program is a mechanism to track the current high volume of repeat visitors, and reward them for their loyalty. While hard core gamers will surely reap maximum benefits, the low entry barrier to enroll, allows casual gamers and family gamers to avail exciting benefits during repeat visits to the stores. Through this initiative, Game4u hopes to attract 25,000 sign-ups in the first three months.
Speaking at the launch Jayont R. Sharma, Chairman and CEO, Milestone Interactive Group said, “Gaming has emerged as the fastest growing segment in the Indian entertainment space. With growing disposable income in the hands of the country’s youth, we expect the gaming industry to continue maintaining its high growth trajectory.”
Mr. Sharma further added “The gaming industry is anticipated to grow at a CAGR of 29% to reach INR 46 billion by 2016. Our store expansions have been planned anticipating this huge demand.”
“The launch of our “Team Elite” rewards program is timed to suitably support our growing and loyal customer base across the nation. With the launch of our stores at MGF Metropolis Mall and Ambience Mall in Gurgaon, gaming enthusiasts in the NCR region can now avail an unparalleled game shopping experience backed by best-in-class products & services.”
